[AMSTRAD CPC] James Bond 007 : The Living Daylights - Review & Longplay

Review and longplay to completion of my favourite Bond movie and official game on the Amstrad!

If you don't quite make out what I was saying before the game starts, originally I was going to do a video with the first half being me playing to the end with cheats on (infinity energy) because of the hideous broken gameplay and rediculous unfair difficulty, and then in the other half start the game again without cheats just to show what actually happens and how far you can get .... ironically and unbelievably, on the latter video for the first time EVER by some fluke or miracle I actually ended up completing the game!! You should have heard the mic audio recording, the sheer WTF and elation from me! Sadly, the game audio was horribly out of sync and the voice audio corrupted. *sigh*
So I spent another night, knowing I can do it, trying again and again till I eventually completed it once more and here we are .....

I remember this giving me some very hard time when i was a child and that's why i dumped it.

Actually i have never seen anything else except the graphics of the first level!

Check out CPE emulator. All my CPC videos are captured by CPE and i never noticed any sound sync problems. It still has some compatibility issues with some games but it does its job.

@alex76gr Yea, I quite like CPCE, I had to use it recently to capture Addias Football for those soccer game vids I did as it didn't like WinApe ... although I much prefer using WinApe, its a much better emulator and interface.

I had the spectrum version, but could not play it as the spectrum i had was a piece of crap.

Thank you so much for defeating this horrid abomination - knowing that a cpc gamer was able to prevail in the face of such unspeakable evil, this game practically represents satan himself.

Nice one, never managed to get far in this one. Always ran out of lives around the fella with the ballons. Lvl 1 was the culprit tho, didnt know you just had to shoot 1 fella at the end (did figure out to run to the end right away, but not what one to shot).

@Xyphoe no, i bought a spectrum 128 from ebay and it was faulty, would not load many games, then stopped loading altogether.
