Yeah, wouldn't it be truly innovative if we could learn to collaborate rather than compete? Oh, but I forgot... the United States government doesn't like to speak truth.

Not only should they work in the classroom, they should have to pass the HSPT test in order to get out!

I wish every politician and CEO have to work in the classroom for just one month without any support. Bet they would die or use corporal punishment.

Quite simple: No politician ever got elected or re-elected telling parents that they weren't doing THEIR jobs. It's much easier to scapegoat the teachers.
I wonder where the excuses will come once these kids do pass the test and STILL can't do reading or math ;) Still the teachers' faults? They'll find some way to blame them.
