That's really cool man, glad you had a nice experience. I think I would try doing it, but it would sort of freak me out as well. I would believe that most people can't handle being truly that alone with their thoughts. 

There is a movie I saw quite a while ago called "Altered States" made in the 70's or 80's. Pretty crazy movie and I remember that isolation tanks were a theme in it. How long did you do it for? Were you partially submerged in water?

@marcryptic First time I lasted about 45 minutes, nowadays I stay in for at least an hour up to 2 and a half hours. It's about 6-7 inches of water but there is no submersion....the large concentration of salt in the water hold you up and you float.

I feel the same way after. Truly relaxed and mellow, was easer for me to gather my thoughts and think about it. I found it hard to talk after!
