The Police State - The PATRIOT ACT (part 1)

On October 26, 2001, President Bush signed the USA PATRIOT Act (PATRIOT) into law. PATRIOT gave sweeping new powers to both domestic law enforcement and international intelligence agencies and eliminated the checks and balances that previously gave courts the opportunity to ensure that such powers were not abused. Most of these checks and balances were put into place after previous misuse of surveillance powers by these agencies were uncovered including the revelation in 1974 that the FBI and foreign intelligence agencies had spied on over 10,000 U.S. citizens, including Martin Luther King.

the NDAAFY2012 that was signed New year's eve just gave the Patriot act more power. It removed our 4th and 6th amendment rights!

@72281livefreeordie as much as i hate to say it... that chance will come. if the country doesnt stop and use common sense and this country heads in the same direction the war on terrorism will be a thing of the past. itll be the war on tyranny, and itll be up to the citizens to take up arms. as sad as it sounds the constitutional militia will bare its fangs against the hand it feeds. it doesnt have to be that way though, we the people can change that... it just takes common sense.

People may want to throw it out as much as they want, but it is a federal bill. Governors can likely be jailed for opposing such a thing.
