well, maybe not an addict, but he`s on the run. You know, when Salvatore`s parents died they have only each other. And their relationship got worse. Damon`s little bro used to love having fun (actually he wanted to be like his big brother, but Damon wasn`t a good example lol) They were fighting so one day Stef ran away from home and Damon who is Stefan`s guardian didn`t know where he was. =) But we know hahaha

Omg i think it should really be like this in the tv show, where it's delena not stelena. I think that elena isn't even giving him a chance in the show even though stefan is a total dick and doesn't even love her anymore.
