Siempre en nuestro pais tienen que haver gente como tu, que abren la bocota sin averiguar las cosa, el pais produce 96 billone GDP anuales, por lo meno este presidente los compro otro ladrones(PRD) diquen compran y se roban el dinero. al meno que tu sea un narcotraficante y te beneficie el desolden que reyna con la droga, ademas, aqui siempre hay gente quejandose, pero el fin de semana siempre hay dinero para el bonche y la fria.

You may need to do some more research. Do you understand the Dominican politic? The Dominican goverment need to resolve alot of issue that concern poverty and health issue before purchasing military aircraft. Or you rather see kid die everyday because there no job no medical attention when the Dominican people need to purchase even the needle in which thell get there med. Think about is it worth it? Or you rather have a great amunt of ammunition and no enemy to fight with.....

The AT-29 is a state of the art airplane. It has several features that are present in the most sofisticaded aircraft in the world. Just because it's not a jet doesn't mean it's old or bad. Would you say a MiG-15 or a F-80 is better than the AT-29? I believe before you say if the plane is good or bad you have to see what is it's role. You can't use a SuperTucano as an air superiority fighter, as well as you can't use a F-15 to fight guerrillas in the jungle. Different tasks, different planes.

It is important to know the role of the aircraft before criticizing it. The STucano is not a air supremacy aircraft. It a counter insurgency, patrol and trainer. In those roles, it does a terrific job for a low cost (much lower than any jet plane. Even US Special Operations are considering buying it. Do some research.

Abran escuelas y se cerraran cárceles. Pueden poner un blindaje a la isla completa, y mientras no haya educación habra una dependencia ferrea al narcotráfico y este encontrara la forma de penetrar toda defensa. No vale invertir en super tucanos si la población a la que se intenta proteger vive de la droga por no poder realizar otra función en la sociedad que le permita vivir honradamente.

People can comment all they want: It's true that the Super Tucano is a remarkable machine and such, but there is one FACT. I am Dominican, and I have yet to see, even from the past (in the 90's it was DEA Blackhawks) till today, I haven't seen or heard one aircraft intercept another aircraft with drugs, in my point of view, it was a bad purchase. I would've invested in ground training, and equipment for terrestial operations (ie, Border and remote airstrip busts, etc)
