Workover rig parked in front of well "Sansinena" 12A5 in Sansinena oilfield, La Habra Heights, California. Because of the steep canyon terrain and tree cover, very few of the oil wells in this field are easily visible from public roads. This oil well produced 1,154 bbl/year in 2008, but as much as 9,508 bbl/year in 1978.

  • i think i worked on that rig!!! thats an mmi rig right? and this pic was taken couple years back huh?

  • @davknz Yes, this was taken in April 2009 I believe. Not sure if it's an MMI rig, but I do have another video of an MMI rig that was working in Commerce near the Citadel Shopping Center awhile back... Maybe you worked on that one as well?

  • It produced that much fluid with a pumpjack running at this SPM? Dang. What sized D.H.P. does it have?

  • I got that data from a CA Dept. of Oil & Gas online interactive system. I'm not sure what DHP stands for, so I can't really say. All I know is that it seems pretty common here in Southern CA to see wells producing at much lower rates now than they did in the late 70s/early 80s when these records began.

  • DHP = Down Hole Pump

If you got that data from the CA Dept. of Oil & Gas, then those production figures are for the month and not per day.

  • Absolutely right. I meant month and wrote day... Sorry.

  • That's bbl/year, actually... not per month. I'll get it right eventually.

  • looks like a wilson high low drum

  • @albusmackinficker probably i did a lot of abandonment's in commerce with them but that was back bout 1999-2000

  • I love the sansiena field, it's brietburn operating if i remember correct. There is upper sansiena, and lower sansiena Lower sansiena is in the north hills development near estelli park and a nursery, they seem to always leave the gate open. Upper sansiena is this and is located wya up in the hills, as you know. Crimson Pipeline LP operates the pipeline from sansiena to Long Beach. Thanks
