  • excuse mr. sonnick i got an v6 3.0L accord sedan AT is stock and y want to change the intake, what do you prefer to improve the performance a SHORT RAM or a CAI? thank you, your accord is awsome!

  • @mustangmty I prefer CAI but the short ram is good as well. The short ram is under the hood so it sucks in warmer air than the cold air since the CAI is in the fender. They both sound great though and honestly, you won't see that much of a gain with either so the difference is really neglegible.

  • sonnick, with the stock tires try launching at 1800... no more no less. fall 08 i had nothing done to my AV6-6 and ran high 13's consistantly with launching at 1800.

  • @randallbollinger You ran high 13s with the 7G Accord 6MT stock? That's the best I've seen. I didn't launch it very well else I would've definitely seen 13.7-13.8. I wanna get rid of the check valve in the slave cylinder which helps the clutch engage quicker. Supposed to be a great mod.

  • @randallbollinger Ooooh true. The 8Gs are faster ugh lol. That's nice though man. I should've been in the high 13s but my launch was ehh. Oh well, got plenty more mods now and should do mid 13s with a good launch.

  • what was your launch RPM and shift RPM? I just ran mine at a corrected -500ft altitude and ran a 14.70 and trapped 95.52 with a 2.3 6-ft time. 2005 AV6 6MT coupe shifting at 6500.

  • I launched around 2500 which resulted in a terrible launch because I didn't give it enough gas. I shifted @ redline.

  • Nice shifting...

  • @sonnick I'd like to pipe in the cold air will be cooler intake temps which lead to higher hp numbers, but the short ram has better throttle response. so it's personal opinion and the purpose of the car

  • You don't have to beat the shifter gear-to-gear

  • perfect shifting!

  • I wonder how well my dad's 2.4 ivtec would run at our local 1/8th mile strip. The season is over now (cause its at AMS, and they are getting ready for the advocare 500 now). But they are doing two nights with no points, just racing. I wonder.

  • The launch was eh, but good shifts. :D

  • Next time try Not letting off the gas pedal while shifting..

  • I just went tonight with my sedan here in bradenton florida... It has an AEM V2, RV3 jpipe, magnaflow catback. With my 2.34 sixty foots I got her to do 14.70's@95.5 mph... It was 90 degrees today and BAD humidity...and the car has 98k miles...and I havent done the slave cylinder mod yet. The clutch was definitely slipping a little bit, and it was hard to hook on the starting line. Hopefully with the slave mod, cooler air temps, and better launches I can get down closer to the low14s.

  • Might as well rip the shifter off the panel! - lol just kidding, you were shifting a bit hard tho.

  • There wasn't a 3.2 in any accord, 7th gens all have j30, 8th gen has j35
