I used to watch this programme! Sadly, Richard Beckinsdale who played the part of Lennie Godber in the Series, died prematurely at the age of 32.
Another favourite programme starring Ronnie Barker was "Open all Hours".

Thank you for all of this information. I LOVE this particular brand of comedy...sadly missing today. Thank goodness we have DVD box sets and such. I will certainly search for it.

@stewballmax3 - One of the best comedy series on British television and another example of of the comic genius of Ronnie Barker (Fletcher) box sets still available, I believe. Sadly, the actor, Richard Beckinsale (Lenny Godber) died young. He was the father of the actress Kate Beckinsale.
