University of Zagreb's OceanServer Technologies AUV "Iver 2"'s first dive

University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing has purchased, using financing from within the EU-awarded FP7 Capacities "Developing the Croatian Underwater Robotics Research" project, an autonomous underwater vehicle that will serve as a research platform for control and computer engineering, embedded systems engineering and development of new navigation, localization and sensing applications in shallow Mediterranean- and Adriatic-type seas. This is its first test dive on the location of the cove of Podvrske, island of Murter, Middle Dalmatian coast of the Croatian part of the Adriatic sea.

Sveučilište u Zagrebu, Fakultet elektrotehnike i računarstva kupio je, uz pomoć financiranja sredstvima Europske unije dodijeljenima iz FP7 Capacities sheme financiranja, a u sklopu projekta "Developing the Croatian Underwater Robotics Research Potential", autonomno podvodno vozilo (ronilicu) koja će se koristiti kao istraživačka platforma za razvoj automatike, računarsko-inženjerskih dosega, razvoja ugradbenih računalnih sustava, te navigacije, lokalizacije i udaljenog podvodnog opažanja u plitkim morima kao što su Jadran i Mediteran. Ovo je njezin prvi pokusni zaron u uvali Podraduč na otoku Murteru koji se nalazi u Srednjoj Dalmaciji, na hrvatskoj strani Jadrana.
