Treehouse
Ladd Smith

I wanna live in a treehouse with you
Way up there in the sky
I wanna sleep in a treehouse with you
That'll sway when the wind blows by
We can climb a rope ladder to heaven
And everyone will wonder why
We have our heads in the clouds
We could live in a Treehouse

Ya know, I can carve our names in a heart
And it will be part of our wall
We'll have plenty of room and a home-made broom
To sweep the leaves in the fall
We'll drink sun-brewed tea and you can stand with me
And watch the people in the street below
As they wonder how
We could live in a Treehouse

Baby won't ya take my hand, come out on a limb with me
I'll teach you everything you need to know
I'll taste your lips and feel your kiss and baby then you'll see
We'll lay a blanket on the floor, over our trap door...

We could have a pet monkey, named Coco
We can teach him how to dance for change
We can sit on the porch swing, when the wind blows
Beneath a tin-roof when it rains
Can'tcha hear those birds sing by our window
When the sun is comin' up each day
They'll fly from miles around
To visit us in our Treehouse

Baby won't ya take my hand, come out on a limb with me
I'll take you far away from the maddening crowd
I'll hold you tight through a starlit night and baby then you'll see
We'll be the first lovebirds in town, to watch the moon come out
From the view in our Treehouse

We could live in a Treehouse...

  • My son, love you soooooo much! and YES he wrote it ! He is very versital with his music. He does everything from REAL country to parlor pop, I've even heard him do some Rock and not bad I must say. You Go Son!

  • I'd like to pitch this song if you're interested to Jack Johnson. However, I think you can make it hit. Did you write it?

  • This song is a super HIT. How much you want to bet? You'll hear it on the radio, maybe not in Nashville, but in other states that have more of an open mind. I do believe there's at least a few music industry folks in Nashville that need a cowboy boot up their you know what!!!! Way to go Ladd, keep your chin up brother! YOU ARE A STAR!

  • Absolutely amazing
