In the span of October 15th - October 18th, New Jersey was hit by two nor'easters. The constant onshore winds kept the tidal river from receding, so tides piled on top of each other to a small extent. The result was widespread moderate flooding, with severe erosion in some places.
Grew up in NJ at the beach in Margate. Remember some pretty nasty storms.
