So, I decided to make a quick video before going to class. Thought I'd fill you all in on the car accident that I was in on Sunday. Not fun.

  • I live in New York. The weather varies. Right now it's either freezing rain, sleet, or snow since it's winter time.

  • What state do you live in? I live in Florida and it rains a lot, majority of people drive slow but you have a few a holes who think it wont effect them.

  • 4 months later and I'm just now starting to relax a bit. You're right - right now you're in shock and going to be driving like a granny for a little while before you start to get over it. People tend to be paranoid for the particular thing they wrecked for. For you, you're never going to drive the same in bad weather :P For me, I feel the need to start breaking for every car that approaches from a side road because I never know if they are going to jump out or not.

  • so sorry to hear this, so were u on your own in your car? Only happened to me once but very different to yours, and not serious, nobody was hurt, just a heart thumping moment for a split second

  • Wow. That sounds like a pretty bad accident. I hope the your wrist gets better. Mine isn't too badly hurt, probably just a sprain, but it still kinda sucks.

And I'm glad that you are feeling better from the whole incident that you were involved with. Accidents are a terrible thing and I hope that you, me, and the rest of the world avoids them in the future as best as you can.

Now I'm definitely a bit more paranoid. Definitely gonna drive like a granny in bad weather at all times. heh.

  • I'm glad to see you're okay, losing control of your car is a scary thing! (I've done it once on a slick road going onto an interstate, but at a very slow speed and didn't hit anything).

I still jump every time I see a car approaching from a side road, it sucks.

Never underestimate the power of these things no matter how big or small.

  • After a month of therapy, every bit of pain went away except for my wrist. Two months later I had an MRI done that showed a bunch of torn tissue damage in my wrist. I wore a cast for two months and just had it taken off today, so we'll see how it goes.

About the air bags and you being scared that you thought it was going to blow up, I thought the same. Both mine deployed, releasing a dust/powder (which I thought was smoke). I was choking on that a good 3 minutes before people came to help.
