@LeBaronDePropane beg you shut up though

I happen to LOVE Jesus and enjoy the Velvets. I would never have thought of merging those images with this song, but Bravo to this wonderful person for doing this.

Hah. My comment got removed as top comment (37 thumbs up at last count) because it made too much sense. ;)

@himissbee You can't be Christian if you take astrology seriously. Christianity dictates that God created us, has a fate for us, but ironically we have free will. Astrology states that existence was an act, not a deity. For example, Christians say God created us, some Astrologists say that all human beings have the same psyche reincarnated. About fate, Astrology says that depending on the exact microsecond at which you were born, your entire personality is predetermined until the day you die.

@LeBaronDePropane okay because Christianity is instantly associated with "sucking" artistically. ¬_¬ anyway, what you're saying about astrology is absurd. That's like saying everyone who reads their horoscope and looks deep into their sign is an "astrologist". Bull. I do that all the time and wholly identify myself as a Leo... it doesn't make me any less Christian. Plus, God created the stars.
-
@himissbee If Corgan did become ultra Christian that would explain why everything after Adore sucks. But still, if he is religious he's an astrologist:
"I'm a Pisces, and Pisces have this weird inability to be completely spontaneous. We're too conscious of our actions. I've always been way too sensible for my own good."
I might be taking that out of complete context, but you can't be astrologist and christian due to conflicting opinions about fate and free will.

@LeBaronDePropane yeah and Billy is deeply religious now. guess he saw the light and the truth.

@ShelbeyJ91 care to explain what the song is actually about then? because i'm actually BORED of people saying "ooooo it's a metaphor! Jesus is a metaphor!!!" - okay then. metaphor for what? what is lou reed saying? Because to me, it sounds like he's troubled and is asking for Jesus' help. afterall, he IS singing 'Jesus...' but i'll happily listen to your interpretation?
-
@ShelbeyJ91 Let the uploader do what he wants with his own video, you fucking ponce. You don't have to view it.

"While i may be no expert on this reality, there is no god but Shame. God is hurt, god is cold. Try that once, god is dead. There is not another one."
-The Smashing Pumpkins

Wow,it's incredible how easily offended non-religious people are. So,apparently it's okay for Lou Reed to use Jesus's name in a song but it's not okay for someone to make a Youtube video which expresses their reaction to the song? Then again, atheists never were the most tolerant people.Maybe it is a metaphor, then again maybe he meant it literally, either way I think it's up to people how they relate to it without a bunch of shallow bigots insulting them.

The fact that a song like this was made by The Velvet Underground is something that all of these intelectual atheists wannabes just can't stand, so they need to come here to say that there MUST be another reason for Lou Reed to write the song.
Fuck off! this song says clearly JESUS, deal with it, bitter cunts!
