Correct. Gaijin refers to all foreigners, but caucasians are too easy to spot in Japan, somehow.

Many Japaneses use the word gaijin for no meaning other than a foreigner. It's very easy to misunderstand differentiation as discrimination. Also note that for some Japanese people big burly caucasians look scary. It's simply a matter of being used to, not necessarily how they want to treat you.

When you stop overreacting to "Gaijin", you will see things much much clearer.

Xenophobia, grudge for nukes, racism and whatever else, why would you want to go to Japan after 3/11/2011? Even US military bases are relocating to other countries. You can drink water or eat food in Japan, and instantly become an X-man.
