Eiji Tsuburaya wasn't ignorant or incapable of stop-motion he was smart,stop-motion is a real pain and the rubber-suit man is better and faster then stop-motion,the american version of Gojira should be criticized because thats the most lame thing I had ever seen,fuck-up the name of the Gojira to Godzilla, put a hadsome american in it and the movie is american, the important parts from the original with the nuclear bombs and experiments we'er dropped

I think "Godzilla Raids Again" was called "Gigantis the fire monster" was because for some reason america wanted to remove Godzilla from the whole movie, but it failed, and now the original version is out of DVD.
I must have missed something here, at the end of part 1 they mention that they had to come up with a name for their monster which I guess was Gojira, then in part 2 he's called Godzilla . Who actually came up with the name Godzilla and how did they invent such a weird sounding name?

"Godzilla" is simply an English translation (approximate) of "Gojira." Nobody really knows who came up with the English spelling. It apparently was coined by Toho because they were already calling it "Godzilla" when the U.S. rights to the movie were sold.
