@goosekiller121 Dont forget a lot of shells are needed if you are not getting the birds 30 yards over your head...

@Schwartzy15 actuelly takem1995 is right... there is over 13 species of canada geese in wich the biggest is 6 times bigger then the smallest specie. you cant see any difference in the feathers but the smaller species are called cacklegeese (danish: canadagæs or kaglegæs) :D

@mackdawg24 It's a nice change once in a while. I will admit, it is more fun bringin em into the decs. I killed 2 limits of snow geese over the weekend in imperial valley on the junior hunt (southern california) We had 5,000+ snows within 400 yards of us at any given time, we were in a private field right next to 2 refuge closed zones. I don't believe in pass shooting on refuges though.

I would never just pass shoot geese. That takes all the fun out of it and it is not even totally ethical in my book. If I do not have time to set up my spread or anything I will be scouting. I would scout any day rather than pass shoot. In my book I see pass shooting only for rookies who don't know what they are doing. I like the geese in my face, not 45 yards up in the sky.
Pass shooting isnt just for people who are cheap. Pass shooting takes alot more then it looks like if your smart. scout the place out, watch the geese to find where they fly out, get there early one morning and wait for em to come to you. its perfect for a day when you dont have time to set up decoys.

Me and a buddy are both in the military and we waterfowl hunt. Just last week we decided to go last minute here in wyoming. Jumped in the truck with a couple pumps and 25 rounds. Both of us got 4 geese in 4 hours pass shooting. We watched 3 guys about 500 yards away take 3 geese total in the same time period with about 75 decoys, blinds, dogs and 3,000 dollar semi-autos. Real hunters make it work and fine a way to bring game home.
