Stew Copeland is a beast.

@bhkidd I saw them on their reunion tour when I was 14 or 15. I cried when I got the tickets because this band built my youth. From 4 years old and up, they were my number one favorite. I'm 18 now, spending a Friday night at home watching Police videos on youtube. Don't lose faith in today's kids just yet, though I know it's hard at times. :)

you have all of these famous sounds-wall of sound, sound of memphis,philadelphia,motown-pu
t the police had a great sound all their own-those guys were awesome -
@didyouseethatlight Yes, I understand you. Im not arguing with you. Just acknowledging the fact that each member of the band (the whole trio of sting, stewart and andy) were vital to each other and each of them had something incredible to contribute to the whole Police experience. Andy's guitar work and Stewart's drum technique were complementing each other together with Sting's bass lines and vocal work. They without argue one of THE greatest bands that was created.

@MrHardrod2 I think you misunderstand me (Jesus. I can't believe I'm sitting here defending THIS.) Each member of the Police was VITAL to the existence of the Police. They were one of the greatest bands in history. Why in living fuck are we arduing about this? It happened the way it did and that is that. Who gives a shit aboput the politics? The only thing that sucks is that they couldn't keep it together for three or four more albums.

@didyouseethatlight Stewart's contribution in his drum technique brought this song to light. Without Stewart's contribution as well as Andy's guitar work, it would sound so completely different no matter what Sting did. As you already know there are different styles and versions of some songs. Original songs made back in the 50's remastered and arrange differently by rock bands sound so completely different and in some cases better than the original songs written by the song's composers

@bhkidd its not jungian philosophy, synchronicity is a universal principle like gravity...

Could you imagine kids today filling an arena and dancing their ass off to songs about Jungian philosophy, Cold War politics, and creepy obsession for two hours? Neither can I. What happened to taste?
