A symbol is something such as an object, picture, written word, sound, or particular mark that represents something else by association, resemblance, or convention, especially a material object used to represent something invisible.
For example, a red octagon may be a symbol for stop.
On maps, crossed sabres may indicate a battlefield.
Numerals are symbols for amounts.
Personal names are symbols representing individuals.
All language consists of symbols.

Many symbols have multiple, hidden, as well as fake meanings. The term "exoteric" is often used to represent a superficial "common sense" meaning, which is meant to confuse and lead astray those who are unworthy; While "esoteric" or "hidden" meanings hold the true significance of the symbol and it's Power.

The word "symbol" derives from the Greek verb "symballein", which means -to throw together. And the noun "symbolon", meaning "mark," or "sign." It is an object, animate or inanimate, that stands for, or points to a reality beyond itself. Thus, symbols that represent non-material concepts, manifest them materially. This is the easiest way to understand their immense influence on the human psyche and the material world as well.

In this you-tube series we will take a close look and examine many symbols used in all aspects of our lives, in order for you to understand why they are used in certain ways and what their true purpose is.
