Photoshop Tutorial: Reflecting Text

Hi Guys,

Quick Photoshop Tutorial here, today I am going to teach you how to make a reflection with your text.

Ok, so what you want to do is make a new image, so go File-New... Then in the width you want to type in 600 and height 200. And change the background contents to white, but you can always change it later.

Now you want to click ok. Then in your toolbar, click the big T. Type whatever you want to say and then duplicate the layer. Select the move tool, then drag the copy underneath the original layer.

Select the text underneath the original, then go edit-transform-flip vertical. With your move tool, just drag the layer up (you may not be able to see it, but it doesn't mean it is not there).

Now for the hard bit, you need to create a new layer. Then select the gradient tool and select foreground to transparent. After that, you want to hold down shift and drag your mouse from the bottom of the reflection to the top. To make the reflection more realistic, you have to lower the opacity of the reflection layer to about 50%.
