Vancouver Winter Olympic 2010 Torch Flame Relay Canada (Richmond Hill)

This event took place on December 17, 2009. Vancouver Olympic 2010 flame in Richmond Hill as cross-Canada relay makes its way to Toronto. Sponsors include Coca-Cola and RBC and City Pulse 24.
A great moment in life that needs to be cherished. My mom was the one filming this video (she shouldn't have zoomed in. It makes the video unclear and also make the image shake easily. Oh well). My sister and I were the ones across the street. This is near McDonald's.

The Torch entered Richmond hill around 12:50 am and entered Toronto just after 2 p.m. on Sunday at Yonge Street and Steeles Avenue. The begins on October 30th in Victoria, British Columbia. Starting October 30, follow the flames journey across Canada on an interactive map featuring daily coverage, profiles, photos and videos. The Olympic Flame was lit in Olympia, Greece on October 22. As it traveled down Yonge Street it was carried by both Craig and Marc Keilburger, founders of international charity Free the Children.

It made a brief detour to Scarborough by car shortly after, before its planned return to Yonge Street and entrance to the citys core. Youth activist Bilaal Rajan, 13, is scheduled to carry the torch into Sick Kids Hospital at about 6:30 p.m. He dropped into the CP24 newsroom earlier in the day and said he sees the Olympics as an excellent model of co-opration. A series of events, including a ceremony at Nathan Phillips Square, are planned for the torchs arrival downtown on Thursday. Olympic hockey player Vicky Sunohara will carry the torch into the celebration to light Torontos cauldron.
