hi, i dont know if you can help me or not, but my jvc everio camera keeps putting all the videos on a private file on the flash card. it never used to do it but now it does it says its a c e d file and it wont play. please can you help because my daughter is going to start walking soon and i really want to get footage of it. many thanks

CAn you help me ? i dont have the hide extensions for known files types option? what should i do to get it appears
I just got a JVC everio GZ-MS100 and i downloaded the software that came with it and when i got to download it to my PC
(back up) i can never find it and saves somewhere i cant find it and if i do ever find it it wont let me drag it to wmm

If you install the USB drivers the camera should come up as an external hard drive. Copy the video files from the HDD to your computer then rename the extension to .Mpg

but i have one more problem
i changed the .mod to .mpg and i can put it into wmm but when i put it a clip in its blank and you can just here the audio.

You need to download a program called "windows media encoder" and that will convert the files ready to be used with windows movie maker.
