This is my version of Glimmer Glaze that I made with Iridescent Medium & my Distress Ink Reinkers, but you can use any dye reinkers you have on hand (you can also use food coloring or watercolor paint). It's inexpensive, easy to make and VERY shimmery!

  • I meant to ask---what size jars did you use? Will baby food jars work?

  • @loridee21

Baby food jars will work great! Actually much better than what I used. I had old makeup jars lying around and used those, but I really needed something better to make them in. Have fun and TFW! Heather

  • That was sooo cool! I was going to buy some Glimmer Glaze to try but I'm going to try this first. Just want to know, after the paper is dry, does the Iridescent Medium come off on your fingers if you rub the page? (I'm not crazy about loose glitter.) Thanks!

  • @rnickel01

No, you really have to rub it for anything to come off on your finger. But you could probably also add a few drops of white glue to this paint to act as a binder. Good luck...let me know how you like it once you try it. TFW!

  • oh my I have sweet n low in my purse. I love this. no Michaels around me.

  • @mommunson

Thanks! You might be able to find it at AC Moore or Joann's if you have those around you. If not, I'm sure you can find it online. Hope that helps. It really is worth the money. You can use it for all kinds of things. TFW....and I promise I won't tell anyone you've got S&L in your purse..,..lol!

  • Love the way the dragonfly backgrounds came out, I liked the 2nd and 3rd gen. stamping with it and how worn/distressed it looked. Works for me! :D
