  • Hi Marc. I have watched this several times & each time am so appreciative of your open-hearted presence, honesty, and vision. This time, a new inspiration dawned! My daughter (visiting recently from across the country) was sharing that upon turning 30 a few months ago, she has been deeply questioning her life direction and goals. In the video conversation, you speak of being 30 and your life becoming rooted in visualization, etc. I am excited about the inspiration she may find here! Tx, Ani!

  • @AlGeeOlBambo Thanks for your reply. I agree with your wise advice on asking for general guidance as opposed to something in particular which is stuck on a particular outcome and getting disappointed if it does not come up. I still have a long way to go on this subject and figuring out for myself what works and what is right. Anyway, many thanks for your patience and help in dealing with this issue. I wish you the best. :)

  • @wolf7379 You are absolutely on to something with your assertion that it's "best I just ask for guidance"! In my experience, my approach has, over the years, turn to asling for that which my heart genuinly desires or something BETTER. By so asking, I am not stuck on one outcome and so do not get disappointed if all I ask for does not show up. Rather, I give my higher self/univese/GOD the option to give me exactly what is RIGHT for me. It's like saying "Show me the way"! Stay blissfully blessed!!

  • @AlGeeOlBambo 7. Sorry my turn to apologize for the many posts! My conflict is that whenever I am doing the affirmations the other part of me is saying well, your Higher Self does not really think that what you are asking for is that important so you will not get it. So in the end I would do better to ask what I should be going for. As in that video with Eve Hogan saying what you ask for may not be for your higher good. So, best I just ask for guidance otherwise I will be wasting time. :)

  • @AlGeeOlBambo 6. I agree possessions and money in itself is not intrinsically 'bad'. It is our cleaving to it that is the problem. This is where I get the conflict. On the one hand I have people saying do the affirmations in a calm peaceful state if you wish to have a better house, money etc then on the other hand we have real persons who have had a real spiritual shift who no longer feel the need to go after things. Obviously God is directing people to accept simpler values, not materialism.

  • @AlGeeOlBambo 5. In the book, there is one individual who went through personal transformation by going through depression and hardship, when she heard a voice within her saying, 'Having nothing, yet possessing all things.' From then on the grief, the bitterness, the sense of frustration disappeared; all desire to possess power and glory for herself vanished away and never came back. So you see, again the Higher Self is saying you have more by having nothing. This is the conflict I speak about.

  • @AlGeeOlBambo 4. ... hanker after more status or success or possessions. They feel happy just to 'be', to exist in the world and in the present moment. They enjoy the simple things in life. So when I sit down and do the affirmations asking for a big house or more money etc. this in itself goes contrary to the spirit of those who have experienced spiritual transformation. That is why I have a problem asking for possessions knowing full well that ultimately 'that' is not what it is all about.

  • @AlGeeOlBambo 3. Those who have connected themselves to this spiritual source either through NDEs, trauma or meditation, find themselves they are happy with their lives as they are. They have a weaker sense of ego means that they don't have a strong urge to assert their identity and to go after material things. They no longer strive so hard to make things happen in their lives, they no longer need to push - letting things happen. They don't feel the inner dissatisfaction that makes people...

  • @AlGeeOlBambo 2. I don't want to find myself spending a lot of energy and time with affirmations wishing for things when beneath that is the fear that perhaps God or Higher Self does not want me to go for those things or that it is not in my best interest to pursue it. From the book: 'Out Of The Darkness from Turmoil to Transformation' Steve Taylor has examples of many people who went through an inner spiritual transformations. They got connected to a source that was very real.

  • @AlGeeOlBambo 1. Many thanks to have taken time out to try to give me a clearer picture. I think where it all comes down to is I have to get to the point that I do indeed get into contact with that Inner Power or feel I have a connection to it. Hopefully I will get the impulses that tell me what I can realistically achieve. For many years I have had this conflict. One needs to cultivate positive thinking but when does it turn into mere fantasy and wishful thinking that never materializes?
