This quick tutorial is for anyone who has photoshop and a tablet and wants to know how to start using them together. I demonstrate how to set up and save your brushes in both photoshop and illustrator to work with your wacom tablet. I wanted this to be fast and simple, so I didn't go over any drawing techniques or styles or even spend time on drawing anything in this video, it's just meant for demonstrating and setting up brushes for a tablet.

  • hey what tablet are you using??

  • @iNzMac I have three...don't recall which one I was using. I started with a wacom graphire (which they don't make anymore). Then I got a wacom bamboo, which I like the surface of. And I bought a toshiba tecra (tablet pc) several years ago...I'm ready for a new one, but it's still fairly powerful. They all perform about the same though. Get a wacom and you can't loose.

  • @abstruseoni alright, do you think the wacom bamboo create is a good tablet?? it will be my second one (cousin pushed to hard on old one) :(

  • @iNzMac Well I don't know what you had before, so I don't know what you didn't like, but I do like the bamboo series from the couple I've used. The Create comes with some good software, HOWEVER, I want you to know that Photoshop Elements is NOT the same as Photoshop. As for performance (unless you're getting a stylus or an intuos), they all perform about the same. Ur mainly paying for surface area and whatever software it's packaged with.

  • finally a video worth watching!

  • finally a tutorial i was lookin for thanks a lot :D

  • @WhiteLightVFX I was thinking about making one showing some scripting/cursive lettering. I've found that to be a great way to practice the pressure sensitivity of your pen.

  • @Baldoxxx4000 ...you sure about that?

  • very useful thank you
