A showcase of the vehicles in my Warhammer 40k Space Marine Imperial Fists army. No sound effects this time :) Not my best video but manages to show off the models decently (the lights were glaring a bit). This army has lead to many, many emails from people asking how to paint them. Enjoy!

Here's the basic steps I use - it's all airbrushed except for the very sharp edging.

- Dark Flesh + Iyanden Darksun 60/40

- Iyanden Darksun

- Iyanden + Sunburst Yellow

- Sunburst + White

- edges are done with 1 part of the last mix to 2 parts Menoth White Highlite (P3)

- paint chipping is sponged on charadon granite + dark flesh

- then I do "spots" of the original basecolor of DF+IDY

  • How do you thin your paints for airbrushing and what ratios do you use?

    Models look insane!

  • @paintpitproduction I use roughly 50/50 mix of the paint and Liquitex Airbrush Medium. I don't recommend water, I find it just doesnt produce as nice a flow and finish with acrylic paints. Thanks for the compliment!

  • Bananarines! Just messing... amazing paintjobs.

  • I would like to ask what is the ratio of Iyanden + Sunburst Yellow. I tried 40/60, but I'm curious about your ratio.

  • metal BAWKSES!

  • Well done! Keep it up.

  • Amazing work here. As a miniature painter myself I'm very interested in putting up videos of my work onto you tube also. Would you be good enough to tell me what video camera you used to achieve such good results? I use a Nokia N8 to take photos of my minis which works out fantastic but it just won't focus on the mini when I video it. I hope you can help and once again brilliant work here :O)
