border check East county San Diego

Border patrol telling me he is going to break my camera. About a mouth earlier These agents violated my rights why? Because I did not know my rights. This check point is about 40 miles east of San Diego. I will always carry my camera from now on. for more info check out checkpointUSA.org

I can tell you have a lot of time on your hands. You might not understand this but I am a real American with real AMERICAN values. The US government has privileges and Americans have rights. Thats right. RIGHTS!!! What I thank you need to do is put up more cameras around your house so you can feel real safe.

The way he says "I'll break your camera" sounds more teasing than threatening, plus, he's walking past, not interrogating the cameraman. It seems like the agent may have actually been poking fun at himself (breaking the camera with his looks) not threatening physical violence.

This is perhaps the only evidence that these agents are human.

You claim a lot, yet, you don't seem to have any of it on tape? Well, other than the agent suggesting he will break your camera. I wonder why?

@scabbybuttcrack They mostly get a bad rep from edited videos like this and from felons that claim to be victims. There probably have been agents that have overstepped their bounds, just like there have been police that have done so, but again, blame the people responsible, not the entire BP. If a cop is corrupt, be upset with the corrupt cop, hold the cop responsible, not the entire police force or all police in general. Without the BP, we'd all be REALLY screwed.

@scabbybuttcrack Lol No, I don't want to trash talk the BP because there's no real reason to. Can we find error somewhere within the Border Patrol? I'm sure we can, just as we can find fault in any other organization(not just government), because we're all imperfect people. But the BP are not terrible,ignorant, oppressive and insensitive Neanderthals that are just out to get Latinos or people that don't agree with them. They're people that risk their lives to protect us and enforce the law.

How much do you make per job? $10? $20 maybe cuz you have to go out to a dusty border and do it behind the portable dungeon trailer? That's probably $100 a checkpoint, easy. This video's both laughable and upsetting since it's clearly been edited to make it seem like the agent's threatening the cameraman/woman. You should post the entire video and show us the whole story instead of a video which is edited to make this agent look bad. I don't know you, infamousartgallery1, but if you want to be taken seriously, don't pull stunts like this. This video only reflects poorly on you and makes others feel bad for the agent that's being subjugated to this pathetic slander.

They deal with "real world" problems like our crappy economy like everyone else and, as shocking as this may seem to you, they went to school too! So unless you know these people(who every single agent actually is, what they actually go through, and how their system works) stop generalizing and preaching hate based on ignorance and assumptions.

@angryadrien All the agents that I know from the Southern Border put their lives on the line and everyone that I've asked, have all said that they've been shot at before and some had to face bandits, been in a task force, gone undercover and faced drug cartels. And the agents in Detroit not only protect the northern border, but also act as peace officers, helping the police fight crime in Detroit, whether it's fighting gangs, drug dealers, prostitution, etc.
