I live on Dusanovac (part of Belgrade, Serbia), and with family and neighbors shortly after 22 h on Sunday 06/06/2010. I was witness of the appearance of "fire balls".
The first time I saw that, It look`s like the cluster, but that was moving slowly from east to west. All the balls were the same, orange collor, ran smoothly and silently. It last about ten minutes, the balls were coming out first in larger groups, then groups were slowly decreasing. All balls disapeared somewhere on Vracar (part of Belgrade). The last light in the series is over the Leka`s hill suddenly made swing of 90 degrees and continued to move in the direction of Pancevo (city in Serbia).
Theory of a paper balloons released from some celebration is really most desirable to me. But I would like someone to explain how it is possible that 50 balloons fly peacefully without variations in speed and distance. By assessing the press flew to an altitude of about 500 m and if we take this into consideration, and the fact that the balloons are easy, how is it possible that none of them are not caught by the wind that may need to feel at that altitude.
P.S. The whole day was clear with temperature around 30 C degrees, there was no mention of the storm. Lights appeared from the east from the direction from Sumice (near forest) and fly over Leka`s hill. Flight look`s perfectly synchronized.
