I created this animation in Blender and have made the high quality video download available on my site. The music is Koji Kondo's soundtrack 'The Sacred Grove' which was made for The legend of Zelda Twilight Princess for Gamecube and Wii. My goal was to create the mastersword and place it in it's true resting place, The Lost Woods. Any feedback that you are willing to give would be very much appreciated!

I also realize that I should have included a few more details in my credits at the end since I have received a number of questions regarding them.

Yes, I also did the compositing and rendering. Once I was finished with the scene and animating everything, the render process took 29 days to complete before I could finally edit the video.

I am responsible for everything you see in this animation. I hope this clears up a few things. Enjoy!

  • plss tutorial

  • @GamingFTWx3 If you search Youtube, I've noticed that ever since I've released my master sword, that other master sword tutorials were created and they may be promising. If nothing else, it's a good starting point.

  • Awesome! I'm a Nintendo fan just starting off with blender so this is great encouragement. It really looks awesome.

  • @starwars2078 Thank you. I've got another sword animation that I believe is leaps and bounds above this one. Still rendering though, should be out not too long from now. I wish you the best of luck with your Blender experience.

  • Wow that's good! Some things to improve on though! Might wanna raise the poly's on your rock! and you can see the end of the world if you look through the trees in some angles! And improve the animations for the camera!

  • @TRIFORCEofAWESOME10 Cool, I agree, except for the rock. When I subsurfed and or subdivided it, it rounded off so much that it looked like a potato. So I left it with jagged edges.

You may like what I have coming out soon. It's been rendering for quite a while now, and hopefully it'll be done soon. It'll be nicer than this one. ;) Thanks for the feedback!

  • Dude, you should do cutscenes or something for Nintendo. If you're good at something- don't do it for free!
