@shockwavevp No way man. Best opening ever. It's themes fit the show and the comic so perfectly. It's a little bit depressing, but it still has enough levity to keep from getting too grim.

Looking back on this OP today, it hasn't really aged well. The music doesn't fit the violent theme, we don't see any of the other characters, we don't get a sense Guts is struggling (@ 0:51 he's even smiling), and the vocalist does not know fluent English. For nostalgia, it's a good OP, but this would get slammed by today's standards.

Yeah, at first I was like "What's this shit?" but then it grew on me. I think the song is so up beat and guitarish so it can build you up with reasurrence in the fact that everything will be all right and the Hawks will rise to power under griffith's leadership; thenit falls apart, crashing on you in the end. That's what it felt like to me anyways. More dramatic effect I guess.

yeah i like the animation and everythign but the music is pure cack wich is a shame as apart from the opening and ending songs (tho the end one is alright) the music in the show is all top tier stuff.
