  • Problem w/ this technology is that you will need to replace the the light bulb every year (2000 ~ 4000 hours of usage). The light bulb costs about $200 - 350 for this one. So, if you own this TV for five years the light bulb replacements will cost you more than what you pay for the TV.

Buying a DLP TV is like buying an inkjet printer, in which printer ink cartridges cost more than the printer. Don't be fooled by price of the TV.

  • @chulk90 Had on for 3 years use it 14 hrs a day lamp just now went out and they are only about 80 bucks. not sure where you got 200 - 350.

  • @bigpcatfish yes sir big p...i thought it was just me ....but i notice the more you watch the tv or keep it on the more you its gonna be replace lol.

  • Don't listen to anyone who say's their lamp has lasted 2-3 years. I've had this same tv for 3 years and am on my third lamp and this time the lamp ballast went with the lamp(even more money). Not worth the money I have in lamps.....I bought the tv on Halloween 2008 and every year(like clock work) between Halloween and Thanksgiving, the lamp goes out.

  • @chulk90 Hey one question what type of power supply does it need?

  • @falsedelic How do you know when you need to replace the lamp and when you need to replace just the bulb? Thanks.

  • @chulk90, Actually Amazon is selling bulbs right now for $78 - 133. They're rated at 8k-10k hours. I've had mine for almost 3 years and still using the original bulb.

  • my bulb lasted 2 1/2 year....What a piece of shit....

  • @TheRealEmskiHelp really which one?

  • @shazaib4 They already have 3D TVs without glasses being used.
