Santos Tour Down Under 2010 final day race action with John from enthuse.
The final 90 kilometre stage was raced in central Adelaide with over 120,000 people watching with the peloton setting a very fast pace for the 20 laps of the 4.5 kilometre circuit.
The stage was full of action with several riders still jostling for positions in the top ten overall making the time bonuses on offer for the two Jayco intermediate sprints very important. After eight laps Henderson collected three seconds for the first sprint ahead of Hunter (Garmin-Transitions) and Cooke (Saxo Bank).
The second sprint saw McEwen leap from the bunch to chase down a lead group and collect three seconds ahead of Hunter with BMC's George Hincapie (BMC) third.
Sutton is suppose to be the final lead out man for Henderson and if Henderson had in fact got up to cross ahead of his enthusiastic team mate he would have moved up one place to finish second on GC.
