35 year old lady who had ingested acid some 14 years ago developed stricture of the esophagus and stomach. She had earlier tmt with gastrostomy. Her weight was 30 kg and she underwent
Thoracoscopic esophagectomy in the 3/4prone position with single lumen endotracheal tube.A right colonic conduit was prepared which was placed in a substernal tunnel . Neck stapled anastamosis was done between the caecum and the transected cervical esophagus.
The lower end of the colonic conduit was stapled to the upper end of jejunum. Transected ileum was staple anastamosed to the transverse colon to complete the operation along with a feeding jejunostomy
