Boeing 787 turns down the volume

Listen closely as Boeing tests the new 787 Dreamliner for its community noise levels. A group of engineers spent years trying to turn the volume down. Early results show a 787's noise profile will be as much as 60% smaller than today's comparable airplanes.

What about the APU exhaust and intake? And interior air intakes and exhausts? On the ground, for rampers like me, every plane is horrendously noisy. Has the 787 been improved in this respect?

@Boeing you get the tours, i took one, but you only see the 777, 787, and 747 in the making. not any other ones... but yet they have 6 buildings
