Here are 4 different fixtures lined up for comparison. The fixture at the very top is made by American Fluorescent and has Schumacher 14,15, 16, 18, 19, 20, and 21watt ballasts. The next fixture down from the top is made by Dayton and has a black Advance 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, and 22watt ballast. The next fixture from the bottom is made by Cooper Lighting and has a white Advance 14, 15, 18, and 20watt ballast. The fixture at the bottom is made by American Fluorescent and has a Radionic 14, 15, 18, and 20watt ballast. If you have any questions just ask!
I like those transparent green starters. It seems like Leviton decided to make them in white again though. A pity. I preferred the transparent green ones. BTW, your no name fixture is made by American Fluorescent and your Dayton branded fixture looks like a Lithonia made fixture that been rebranded.

@DavidFromAE It is really sad that Leviton got rid of the transparent green starters. At least I got a couple 2pack boxes of them. Also thank you for the info on the lights!

why did they build the starter into that one? that makes it to where if you don't know what you are doing you have to chuck the fixture. anyway, these are very cool!

@dieselducy I think they put the starter inside the fixture, so that when the starter goes bad you throw the fixture away and buy a new one. They do this so they can make more money, by what I think.

Was the two-lamp one originally a rapid start?

@bamaslamma1003 No it came with the pre-heat ballasts but there are holes for a rapid start ballast.
