As most of you who read my blog know, after grad school I embarked on a trip around the country interviewing people in the LGBT community - from reporters to musicians to writers to executive directors of non-profits - about how they are impacting their community and the LGBT movement overall.
I would do video and audio interviews and put them up here on my blog for everyone to enjoy!
I was amazing for me to meet such interesting and dedicated people who are working hard in their own ways to help.
Well, I still have some of those unedited videos! I know, I know. I'm slow ;)
I just finished editing one I did back in April with Cameron Abbott. Cameron, a lesbian, is both a high powered NYC lawyer and a best-selling erotica novelist. What a combo, I know!
She has written two novels (To The Edge and An Inexpressible State of Grace), published short stories, and taken part in various speaking engagements. Needless to say, she's a busy lady!
Cameron has some great insights into how we all impact the LGBT movement in our own small ways and how important some of what we consider to be insignificant acts of "outness" really are.
