i wish you would show the normal focus speed through the viewfinder for stills, not through the lcd. of course it would be slower that way...

It is the same speed for the GH2 whether I am looking through the viewfinder or using the lcd. I usually only use the viewfinder and it takes a few seconds to focus.
My flatmates Canon DSLR is fast through the viewfinder but hideously slow using the lcd,,,
