Jay's lights on his POV. In the front are strobes and the two lights in the middle in the top part are LX4's and the rest are Soundoff Ghosts. In the rear is a Soundoff Ultralite 8 head bar and a Whelen TLF. The siren is a Federal Signal 650 series remote siren.

  • just out of curiosity, what state are you in? I am in Illinois and we can only have blue and clear lights. Red lights and sirens are illegal.

  • @Jherick7070 Louisiana

  • @Jherick7070 I Live in Illinois too... Edgar County area. Becoming a Junior Firefighter soon. any advice?

  • @crystalcross100 Fire departments are always looking for more help. Be sure to also listen to your superiors and trust your instincts. The job is tough, but also very rewarding. I been on 2 years and I love it but sadly I'm leaving my department in two months.

  • @bballplayer927 oh, in north carolina you can only run red white and amber, with anything, but some kinds of lightbars, and towtrucks can only run amber

  • @Viatox people in my town use us as a fucking taxi and its driving us crazy

  • @sportslnh3000 2000 EMS runs? Was that a typo? 200 would seem logical, 5 or 6 EMS calls per day and thats not including fires sounds like way more than average.

  • @crystacross100 I was a volunteer for 12 years, never used warning lights on my POV (illegal in my state) and the fires still went out. Don't compromise safety, you did not cause the call and getting there in one piece without causing your own incident is what counts.

  • Sharp!!

  • @crystalcross100

firefighting is tough, train often and outside of the classroom when possible and stay physically active/fit. Always remember, safety first. Never get a big head either

its a great thing to do, glad you are getting involved ;)
