The EC 130 is a new generation light single engine helicopter that has all the latest technology with a very roomy and modular cabin that seats 7-8.

It features a low external noise emission, 8.5dB under the ICAO requirement. This is achieved by the low noise "Fenestron" and the automatic control of the rotor RPM.

The EC 130 B4 is powered by a FADEC equipped Turbomeca ARRIEL 2B1 turbine engine, complete with dual channel digital engine control system (FADEC), and a back-up control box that automatically controls the engine in case of total failure of both digital channels of the FADEC.

Thanks to its great visibility, quietness, performance and safety, this flexible helicopter is particularly adapted to the needs of private users, as well as tourism and charter missions.

The engine, the Turbomeca Arriel 2B, is rated at 632kW. The engine is equipped with dual channel Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC) with a single analogue backup.

A high level of redundancy is built into the flight systems. There are dual flight computers, multiple engine sensors and the metering valve is fitted with a dual stepper motor on a common shaft. The helicopter is also fitted with dual hydraulics systems.

  • @edcoondog Tell that to the sales department at Sikorsy and Boeing. They are getting an ass pounding by Eurocopter and Airbus.

  • one of these just crashed in hawaii, im not sure why tho but people were killed....

  • @FeelFree3 around 5 millions

  • @FeelFree3 3M USD

  • @FeelFree3 probably

  • I wonder how much is it cost. Is it more expensive than Lamborgini Reventon??

  • @timmytyphoon how so? Eurocopter has fenestron. ok. but it's been around for quite a few years. Md has notar. Eurocopter's new "Quiet blade" is a rehashed tweaked Sikorsky design that's been on the b-hawk for years. Sikorsky's X2 is a much more sophisticated and efficient concept than euro's X3. no one's really all that far ahead of anyone else

  • That is the nicest helicopter around =)

  • @cherkeysix the ec 130 is a 350 b4 tard
