Ever wondered about the difference between High Tea and Afternoon Tea? What about the formal way to eat a scone? Fairmont Washington, D.C. teamed up with an etiquette expert to demonstrate the proper way to take Afternoon Tea so we can be sure we're fit for Fairmont's upcoming Tea Day on Nov 12, 2011. Get Steeped with Fairmont Washington, D.C. in the Loggia, where honey straight from the hotel's rooftop beehives will be used for honey tea and honey-based mini desserts, or check out what our other hotels are doing around the world: http://www.fairmont.com/promo/getsteeped. Pinkies up!

  • There may be no high tea at the Fairmont in DC tough! Tell the Ritz, Brown's Dorchester in London that there is no such thing as HIgh Tea and they will have a fainting spell. It is alive and well and is an institution in the UK as well as countries in the British Commonwealth. If you try to borrow our customs don't tell us where we went wrong. In fact I am not sure you understand High Tea at all. You have it all wrong -- Kerry Vincent.
