  • I wonder how they make the marinade for the ribs. Ooooo.

  • There isn't anything better than a good homemade pit BBQ.

  • what happened to the series....is is on agian or get cancelled

  • Really, you let it marinade for that long? I thought that would make the meat tough, but I will give it a go. Thanks.

  • I use pineapple juice + beer as well, but let it sit for 3 days...you have to be careful with the pineapple juice on thinner meats it will turn it into goo..

  • thats the attitude. I must of went through a million ribs before i made a special taste. I looked up different techniques online and finally found my solution. Glad i could give tips. Have a nice day christy.

  • Thank you so much Sir, I appreciate the time you took to help me get it right. It was actually a concoction of peapple juice (al that was in the house), liquid smoke, cayenne pepper, and some onther things I can't recall. It was just okay. What I'm really looking for is the marinade that will make the ribs taste more of the tarty/sour/vinegar flavor with a touch of sweetness from the apple juice throughout, not just on the outside. I must keep practicing until I get it right. Thanks again.

  • Well that might be a bit too much. Now i have never tried marinating in straigh up pineapple juice, but i put apple juice or pineapple juice into a little spray bottle and spray it right as it's cooking towards the end to give it that nice flavor. You can marinate with bbq sauce or dales, and use pineapple aswell. It doesn't have to be just pineapple.

  • No, I let them sit in the juice for about 45 minutes; I guess those ribs were tough.

  • well it might be the concentration of the juice. Did you put the pineapple juice in a spray bottle?

  • I don't know why I thought apple juice and apple cider vinegar had somethiing to do with it. I tried marinading them in some pineapple juice too, but they were just okay.

  • well they usually spray apple juice on it to get that sweet and savory flavor and also give it a good glaze. I wish i knew the method but i also think that's the thing to rib competitions. Marinades are usually secretive
