Delvaux painted many objects which people can think about in their subconscious and the most undiscribeable passion of all human beings is the erotic theme. Delvaux painted paintings wherein erotic, death, ghosts, petrified persons, community and lonelyness come together. One of the greatest painters since 1900!

Ese mundo existe, yo estuve ahí cuando murió mi padre, llegué a un jardín al anochecer, había una casa cerrada, y en el muro adyacente estaba un ángel, arrimada su espalda al muro, con una espada entre sus manos, quieto. Llamé a la puerta, detrás estaba mi padre, que no podía salir, y me dijo que me fuera. Fue un sueño o un viaje artral ?
