Great shots. When did you do this? I saw at 4:50 leaving Gainesville unleaded gas at 1.69/gal.

Great video! Looking forward to my first ride on the Flyer this weekend as I travel between Ft Worth & Norman to visit my brother at OU. I've taken the Lake Shore & Capitol a lot to Chicago - will be nice to ride a new route.
GO SOONERS!

@werksdesign Ah, the good old days of super-cheap gas...

Uh, yeah if this train averaged 74 mph, the 206 mile one way trip would only take less than 3 hours. The Heartland Flyer covers the 206 miles in 4 hrs 14 min. which is only 48.6 MPH. Not exactly screaming fast.

the name Heartland Flyer is a good name for this train. it can cover the 206 miles in about 4h 14m. which means its an average speed of 74mph. even the acela averages is about 62mph betweek Boston and Washington.

That gas station has been closed for a long time. If only we could have those prices.
How long did it take you to get to Fort Worth? How much was it? Were you comfortable?

@TheMidcoast1 Thanks for the response but where is Ardmore ? I need to leave from MI and I always wondered if traveling by train is comfortable. It will probably take five days to arrive so I want to be comfortable lol!! Wow Twenty eight dollars? you must have perks....lol! im sure it will be alot more for me.

@TheMidcoast1 Well Ardmore is in Oklahoma, where exactly in Michigan do you live? Is your final destination Fort Worth?
