My camera does only 30 seconds of video so I do hurry it along, but if you have mastered the dc or treble stitch from my previous videos, this stitch is fairly easy. A shell stitch is basically 5 dc. worked into one stitch at the base which forms a fan pattern. You can use this stitch in many ways for pretty lace edging or to form various patterns if you pile them up one on top of the other (usually) using the 3rd stitch of the shell stitch from the previous row. You can also place your shells in between 2 shells in the previous row. Practice and play with patterns. Practice is key to you mastering crochet.
