Donkey Meat the New Delicacy?

In a bizarre incident, some residents in Pokot district claiming to be hunger stricken slaughtered a donkey for meat. Whether the donkey, which had been knocked down by a vehicle was safe for human consumption was the least of their worries. Sylvia Chebet reports.

"Hunger stricken" - and yet at 1:06 what do you see? A well fed, very healthy donkey surrounded by vegetation, grass and fresh growth...honestly...these people are not starving.... xD

@Bournetolive I have been to Northern China but I tried it once in Guangzhou yes it was delicious. There was a street full of donkey restaurants in Guangzhou and donkey hot pot(or steamboat) was popular and recommended by my Chinese friend. If I go to North I certainly try donkey burger:)

Donkey meat is very good. Not in hotpot though - come to northern China (Beijing, Hebei Province, Shandong Province) and try donkey burgers - seared donkey meat in a Chinese oven baked bread called shaobing along w/ veggies and other vegetables. Most westerners who have tried have instantly fallen in love w/ it and now, back in their respective home countries, miss it greatly.
