Basically the same thing; a Japanese-made AMV. Except the people who make them know of music bands besides Linkin Park. And there are ones dedicated to particular animators, like this one.

@damicore he's just saying that every fucking european/american amv has linkin park songs on it. Or worse, Lux Aeterna from Requiem for a Dream soundtrack. This last one is a beautiful piece composed by Clint Mansell but because of that...every goddamn video on youtube has it. It's fucking annoying.

His style kind of reminds me of the rotoscoping animation of 90's computer games, like Out of This World and Flashback.
