Disney World, late 1972 (silent)

Disney World near Orlando, FL, in 1972, a little over a year after it opened for the first time. Some of this film is frustratingly dark, especially near the start when we travel on the monorail through the dark hotel and restaurant. There is a brief shot from ground level of a hillbilly bear (and some people in 1970s clothing). Most of the film clip shows views from the overhead ride that carries you sedately in a little car suspended on a strong wire. Readily recognizable are the Cinderella's Castle and the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea ride. Back on solid ground, we glimpse a parade with Mickey Mouse, a marching band, and Goofy.

This is an adequate transfer (via my webcam) of an 8mm movie snippet from the end of 1972. Probably all filmed by my late father. There is no sound/audio.
