@maliqjibrail You're referring to the announcement that Golden Churn butter was declared not halal in Malaysia. I contacted Idris, and he said that they are using Golden Fern butter now, and their cakes are halal still. We need to go see him at his new location to test out his cakes again!

@zaatarbread - unfortunately, the My Sara Bakery in Kuching has closed. But there are other bake shops here that make and sell Sarawak Layer Cakes, so you're still welcome to come to Kuching!
