With all the controversy over the PC version's release... how is it? In this review I tell you how it is for me.
ESRB Rating: Mature (17+) - Blood, Drug Reference, Intense Violence, Language
You can purchase this game on Steam here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/10180/
All settings maxed (except smoke edge smoothing is turned off due to engine difficulties with it) @ 1024x768 resolution with 4x AA. Watch in high quality for the best visuals.
Part Two can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbJ4Q_sWay4
Minimum system requirements: Windows XP/Vista/7; AMD 64 3200+ or Intel Pentium 4 3.0 GHz or better processor; 16 GB free hard drive space; 512MB RAM for XP and 1GB of RAM for Vista; 256MB nVidia GeForce 6600GT or ATI Radeon 1600XT or better; Internet connection required for install and play. Requires Steam.
To clarify my review scores (they're "rough" scores, meaning it's not supposed to be some sort of percentage or anything):
1 or lower = Terrible. Avoid at all costs.
1.5 = Has a few redeeming qualities, but still sucks and should be avoided.
2 = Mediocre (Sub-par). You'll probably want to avoid this one.
2.5 = Underwhelming, but playable.
3 = Average. Worth playing, but probably not at full price.
3.5 = Good, but has issues.
4 = Excellent, but has a few problems that could probably be fixed through patching.
4.5 = Exceptional. Better than 4 but still has a few problems that could be ironed out.
5 = Outstanding. Stuff in this category is pretty much "must own."

You do realize that Steam doesn't require you to be online to play singleplayer.
You just need to log in, as soon as you do that you can select "Go Offline" and it doesn't care if your connected at all. Even if your internet cuts out the game still keeps going and you can even relaunch it no matter what. As long as you dont quit Steam it doesn't matter

Singleplayer is a tiny portion of MW2, ergo it's kinda idiotic to go into offline mode.

I don't mind Black Ops, but MW2 on the PC was...no. Give Black Ops a try. They just need to patch the performance and release mod tools and SP dev console...
The SP on Black Ops is the best in any CoD. Ever. MP is more or less an actual PC version of MW2, but nothing new. Co-op is bad IMO, I'm not a fan of zombies.

Black Ops is definitely a massive improvement over MW2, but it's got its own flaws that are slowly being fixed (and I applaud Treyarch on actually fixing them).

@DWTerminator
Indeed. The performance has gone from 15-ish fps for me on release day to around 50fps with the latest patch. This is all max settings, 1600x900, no v-sync.

I had a similar performance boost with the latest patch... but I'm running at 1024x768.
