Funny. You say, "It's the fighter's fault" for letting paid/ trained "professionals" determine the outcome of a prize fight? Then after the judges make the wrong decision (according to the vast majority of fans, all legitimate MMA Media outlets, The UFC's President, and even one of the judges who later said he made the wrong call), you say I don't know MMA?

I've gotta say, man, I've lost some respect when you put that stupid photoshopped picture of Shogun and Machida on your main page. jonnyg is right: get over your blind hatred of Machida. It was an extremely close fight and how any educated and intelligent fan could try to call this a robbery is beyond me...

There was no robbery here. One could argue a razor close decision either way, since rounds 1 and 2 were so close, but this was no robbery according to the UFC's 10 pt must-system.

Going into this fight, it's not like Shogun was Liddell in his prime, with the entire MMA community supporting him. He was the underdog, underestimate, under appreciated and had the vast minority of the support all the way into the 4rth round when the crowd was chanting, "Machida."

And then, the decision came.

And EVERYONE changed their tune. They got angry, flooded message boards, bood and talked about it non stop.

That happens only when a robbery takes place.

And as for respect, oh well.

I think Machida won 'cause he was never ever put in any danger ! He remained cool and collected T.O. the fight... counter everything Shogun tried ! Take down attempts and take down defence counts points.

Everybody was cheering for Rua, check the one sided Joe Rogan during the fight.

No matter what happened he would only see what Shogun did. Unbelievable !

we will see in the rematch who was right ? Still think TKO for MACHIDA 1st.round.

lyoto might not have won but shogun did not deserve the belt from his proformance....most the counters he threw were shit anyways

Shogun won period. Yes it was a rob. Yes the UFC had something to do with it. Yes Shogun was the better fighter. Yes Machida put on a great fight aswell. Yes Shogun will claim what's rightfully his in a rematch.
